Sept. Auto Insurance Savings
Ever since I decided to change job two months ago the issue of car insurance has been constantly on my mind. For a little background information, I decided to switch job two months ago and took a consulting or self-employed job depending on how you look at it. The job requires me to travel and work at the client site on a weekly basis. I don’t mind the traveling but in order for me to get to the hotel from the airport I either have to take the cab or get my own rental car. At this point you might be wondering why I didn’t just get a rental car since I would get reimbursed. That was my thought when I first took the job until I was informed that limit damage waiver (LDW) insurance is not covered by the client. The rental car companies usually charge an exorbitant amount for LDW on a day rate of $20 ~ $25. If you do the math that comes out to be more than $7000 a year! So what happens when you drive a rental car without LDW insurance? That means your own insurance will have to cover in the case of whatever possible damage. Cab would be a good option except the flight I usually take (only direct flight) now arrives at 11 pm at night.
This dilemma has gotten me to research about cheap auto insurance. One of the site I discovered is http://www.cheap-autoinsurance.com. This site enables me to enter my 5 digit zip code and instantly provide me with a list of providers. It is like a reminder for me regarding which insurance does offer car insurance. Since I haven’t shopped for car insurance the only image in my head these days all came from the State Farm singing commercial (Which are very catchy!). If you are looking for car insurance, be sure to consider different providers!
