Barnes & Nobles free coffee this Saturday (2/26)

Barnes & Nobles is offering free coffee this Saturday for individuals willing to take a guide tour of Nook color at your local store.  I have been thinking about getting a Nook color for awhile but I still haven’t been able to pull the trigger.  Offering a cup of coffee definitely makes me want to visit the store and take a second look at what a Nook has to offer!

Apptivo review

As a member of BzzAgent, word of mouth marketing network, I recently signed up for the Apptivo campaign to test out the services it provided. Apptivo is a free online web application that offers different services targeting business owners.  The sign up process is really easy and takes less than 5 minutes.  Once you are logged in, you will see a list of available services on the left side such as Employee Services, Product/Project Management, Website Management, eCommerce, Supply Chain, and Sales.   Overall the website is feature rich and definitely worth the time and effort to explore and see whether it can help out with your business.

The only negative aspect that I see regarding Apptivo is the host service can get fairly pricey. A simple informational website costs 9.95/month while an eCommerce store with less than 250 products cost $19.95. However, if you don’t want to limit the number of products you sell online you will need to get a deducted server which is $4999.95 a year.  Personally I don’t believe you need a dedicate server even when you have more than 500 products to sell. It really depends on the number of sales you make. If you list 1000 items but only sell 50 on a monthly basis, it doesn’t make sense to be spending >$400 for hosting. So definitely evaluate your actual need before starting a hosting plan.

All in all, the web application is definitely worth checking out for business owners!

SniqueAway Review

As a member of the bzzAgent community, I recently came across a site called SniqueAway that really attracted my attention.  The idea behind the site is simple.  It is an invitation only site where once you log in you will see a list of exclusive rates for some of the best hotels in the world.  It a way it is very similar to RuleLaLa but instead of designer products it offers exclusive hotel rates.  After I logged in I was immediately attracted by the different hotel images.  The site design is very clean and the rate offered on the hotels are very reasonable.  !  Since I am currently thinking about going to Hawaii, I will be looking for any kind of Hawaii deals.  if I do encounter something in Hawaii, I will come back and update the post.  Overall it is a site that is worth exploring if you want to get away but don’t have a fix destination.  You might find one of the places attractive at a very affordable price!

Disclaimer:  As a bzzAgent member I often receive free product in exchange for honest review.  I have not received any product from SniqueAway except an invitation to sign up for an account.  I was not compensated in any way.

Stuffed Melts and Soups Review

If you read this blog on a regular basis you know that I am a member of BzzAgent community. A BzzAgent gives their true opinion regarding a service or product and shares that opinion with others through social media or traditional social means. In most cases we are provided with sample to try but is not required to write a positive review or any review for that matter.

One campaign I am currently participating in is “Stouffer’s Corner Bistro Stuffed Melts and Soups”. It is a frozn prepackaged meal that comes in the following three flavor:
Steak and Swiss Stuffed Melt with Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomoto Bisque
Chicken Bacon Ranch Stuffed Melt with Baked Potato Soup

As a member of BzzAgent, I had a coupon to try one of those three for free and I selected Steak and Swiss Stuffed Melt with Broccoli Cheddar Soup. I took it with me to work last week as I didn’t have enough leftovers to pack lunch. it took me 5 minutes to warm the stuff melt thoroughly and another 5 minutes to finish eating. The stuffed melt reminds of hot pocket except smaller in portion. As for the soup, it has more cheese than I like. I will definitely give the Three Cheese & Ham Stuffed Melt with Creamy Tomoto Bisque a try. Overall it is not a bad for a quick meal if you don’t mind the cheese.

Be sure to visit stouffers.com for a $1 off coupon if you like to try it out!  If you their game on their Facebook page you might also win a free Stuffed Melts and Soups!
