Free Oreo to celebrate Manny Win

With that in mind maybe you can serve some of the free cookies for the Super Bowl party.  So, Saints or Colts?

Mega Swagbucks Friday

Woo hoo!  Just won 5 Swagbucks by searching for bank bashing.  5 Swagbucks is not a lot of money but it definitely makes my day at least for now.  Remember to search on your Swagbucks account on Friday!

Pants on the ground American Idol

It has been awhile since I watch American idol.  However, during the last couple days I keep on hearing a song played on the radio called “Pants on the Ground”.  The song by Larry Platt became infamous and it is starting to annoy me.  (Although I do have to agree the tune is very catchy). Make Money Writing for eHow

One of my resolution for my frugal ways is to work toward generating more residual income.  Even though my revenue for last year was acceptable, it was based on a lot of time consuming tasks such as answering surveys and remember to search on reward sites such as Swagbucks.  This year I would like to focus on writings that will can generate residual income without needing me to click my fingers away.

One of the programs I am planning on spending more time on is eHow.  At one period during last year I noticed that a lot of my Google searches were returning links to a site called eHow.  Upon further investigation, eHow is a user generated content site in which people shares their specific knowledge regarding how to accomplish a specific task.  The site is owned by Demand Media and you can read up on its history on wiki.

However, unlike the other sites, it actually shares the ad revenue it generated from website to the writers.  (Although it doesn’t disclose how much of the revenue is shared with the writers), I did find a blog of a work from home mom who is generating substantial income as a result.  I have say that reading her blog is an inspiration.  For someone who has to take care of her kids and have limited amount of time daily, she proved the importance of quality of writing over quantity.  She even started an eBook regarding how to make money on eHow.  She is a proven case that the site works and can be used to generate residual income.  Granted not everyone will be as successful as she is but I believe every little bit helps.

Why did I remember eHow all of a sudden?  It is because to my surprise I actually received a payment from them.  While the amount is not a lot, it did rekindle my wish to write better articles and see whether I can be successful in generating residual income.  So if you are knowledgeable and would like to earn residual income, be sure to check out eHow!

Giveaway of the Day Review

One of the site I added to my RSS feed is called giveawayoftheday.com.  What the website does is it offers a software for download free each day.  Software cost is one of the most expensive cost of owning a computer if you actually purchase software for your daily usage.

Giveaway of the way provides a way for you to trial different software without having to worry about license.  If you are a software developer, it is a good place for you to provide some potential customers a chance to try out your software.  Overall, a total win win situation!

America Top 20 Frugal Cities

I saw this listing from Coupons.com where they tracked different amounts based on coupon usage in 2009.  Interestingly the top three on the list are: Atlanta, Tampa, and Cincinnati.  I would have never guess it.
