CMFAds Review

cmfadsIf you are a regular visitor of my blog you are sure to notice the different ads that I currently have on this site.  In addition to Adgitize, Entrecard, and Google Adsense, I started using CMFAds two months ago.

Created by former employees of Entrecard, CMF ads has a lot of similarity with Entrecard.  However, the way it works is actually quite different.  Instead of requiring members to visit each others site, it simply let you act as a publisher and advertiser.  To be a publisher, you will need to have a CMFAds widget on your blog.  After you set the widget on your blog, you can  set the price for 1 month ad (125×125) on your website.  Based on your earning, you can either advertise on member”s site or cash out.  However, there is a 50% tax on the amount you cash out.

I like the concept of CMFAds but I don’t like the fact they tax 50% when cashing out.  It seems too steep to me.  Secondly, because it doesn’t require members to visit other member’s site, so you are not guaranteed traffic in similar ways as Entrecard and Adgitize.  However, one huge advantage is that if you do have a popular blog, you can set the ad price at a much higher price so you are compensated according to the popularity of your blog.
