How to keep your wordpress secure
Recently quite a number of people I know have their WordPress blog hacked. Consider the amount of time and effort blogger spend on keeping their blogs up and running, it is critical you always keep your WordPress secure. Here are some key points I aggregated from the recent readings:
1. Upgrade WordPress to the latest version.
Wordpress has quick become one of the most popular blog platform on the internet. However, popularity also means it is most susceptible to security flows. Every time they released a new version it almost always address some security flow. Thus it is extremely important to keep your WordPress version updated.
2. Never access your blog from a unsafe computer.
Unsafe computer are computers where you are not the only user. The typical example is internet cafe. Computers in an internet cafe might be infected by malware due to the usage of the previous user. When you use internet cafe computer, the malware can pick up user name and password to your account.
