Every blogger has moments of brain drains in which they ran out of blog topics.  One way to keep up with blogging ideas is to read specific news in the industry your blog is covering.  One way it to setup alerts with Google alerts.

From Google’s site:

Google Alerts are email updates of the latest relevant Google results (web, news, etc.) based on your choice of query or topic.

Some handy uses of Google Alerts include:

• monitoring a developing news story
• keeping current on a competitor or industry
• getting the latest on a celebrity or event
• keeping tabs on your favorite sports teams

Create an alert with the form

Base on Google alerts, you can look up specific topics in which you can have Google send you an email either day or as it happens.  What removes the need for you to search constantly.  I have setup two Google alerts to provide me with additional blogging ideas.
