Hi Plin, Good article at a perfect time for my part of the country. Right now is summer and all the farmer's have their stands up and running. With the economy the way it has been you would think that one could get our produce a little bit less at the farmer's stand, but this is not the case especially this year. I do realize that the farmer is suffering also with the expense that he has to put into his gardens. So your organic vs. non organic is right on and I must say that one does really have to look and compare. I love your Shopper's Guide list and the link for it, I'm sure we'll all find it very useful. Thanks Plin. jj

Hi Der, thanks for visiting my blog.
Thanks for pointing it out and you are correct that there are times when organic stuff might be actually cheaper than non-organic. Which gives us a better reason to look after the pricing of the produces that we purchase on a daily basis.

Sometimes organic is cheaper than conventional, so don't think that organic is automatically more expensive. Organic onions where I live are often the same price or cheaper than regular onions.
