Tanning Bed says to cause cancer
Although frugal is important there is nothing more important than one’s health. This news is for the ladies out there who likes to get a tan but doesn’t like to be physically out in the sun.
Here is an excerpt:
International cancer experts have moved tanning beds and ultraviolet radiation into the top cancer risk category, deeming both to be as deadly as arsenic and mustard gas. For years, scientists have described tanning beds and ultraviolet radiation as “probable carcinogens.”
Always remember your sun screen when you go out to enjoy the summer weather!

Free small popcorn with any size fountain drink purchase from AMC
Summer is the time where all the movie blockbuster comes out. Although there isn’t a movie that really jumped out at me this summer like Dark Knight last year, going to the movies is still a very enjoyable experience and gets me away from my computer for a change.
AMC is currently offering a free small popcorn with the purchase of any size fountain drink so be sure to pick up yours if you are heading to the movies this week. If you are a Costco member be sure to check your local Costco to see whether they are selling movie tickets at cheaper price than at the window!
Personal Saving Rate continues to increase
As the economy deepens more and more people are electing to save instead of spend. The spend free economy of the past couple years is now replaced by a country of savers. Here is a chart from St. Louis Fed that illustrate personal saving rate and it has increased dramatically over the last couple months.
There is an article in this week’s economist that talks about the current economic environment. In order for US to recover from the current recession, the country will have to start shifting from a consumer/import economy to an export economy. With everyone becoming more frugal and save a larger portion of their income we are definitely moving toward the right step.

Advertise with Adgitize

Recently I started advertise my blog with Adgitize. Adgitize is another blogger ad network where you earn points for ad views on your blog and visit other people’s blogs. At end of the day, the points are used to calculate daily earnings.
Here is how you can earn points with Adgitize:
- 100 points each day when you create a new post for your blog. (Based on RSS feed).
- 100 points for visiting 100 blogs a day (If you advertise with Adgitize, this decreases to 50)
- Additional points base on the number of ad views.
If you advertise with Adgitize the cost is $14 a month and if you make ~ 360 points a day, you will break even. Personally I am very satisfied with Adgitize advertisement as the cost is low and it brings additional new visitors to your website.
Play NES games with virtualnes
People around my age will definitely remember the countless hours they have spend on Super Mario and other games on NES. Those were the days where the controller is simple. There is only the direction and A/B buttons. Unlike the controller today, which has 10+ buttons easily. Read the rest of this entry »
Entrecard New Management says no to paid ads
As an Entrecard participant, I don’t have much of a preference regarding paid ads. In order to survive the tough economic environment, every company has to find ways to increase revenue and cut down cost. However, the introduction of paid ads have lit a fire in the Entrecard community.
Recently there was a management change at Entrecard and among the first thing that is implemented is the removal of paid ads (equivalently cash out ability). Although I am ambivalent regarding paid ads, I applaud the new management for listening to the community and I look forward to see what the management will bring forth in the future.
